Great flat water spot less than half an hour from Edinburgh, various set up areas depending on tide state, but there will always be somewhere.
There are quite a few wooden posts sticking out of the sand toward the northern side of the beach and these become submerged during high tide but the whole area can be easily avoided.
Not suited to complete beginners due to the need to be able to stay upwind of the harbour wall
