Generally Lac Leman has little wind - occasionally, and especially in Autumn, you can get the wind howling down the lake (essentially a regional phenomena) and if it is blowing, it picks up during the day for great late-afternoon sessions.
This is just open lake sailing, and pretty much only works when it gets good and windy - which is rare. Hence, it can get 'crowded' when it gets good.
