From Manta, which is the largest city nearby, go towards the "Ruta del Sol", the road that goes along the Ecuadorean coast, to the South. Pass the fishing town of San Mateo, pass "La Tiņosa" beach and the next town is Santa Marianita. |

| | Santa Marianita is an excellent spot, with a long, sandy beach and plenty of space to ride, launch and land. The weather is reasonably warm all season long. The water temperature during kite season averages 21-24 degrees C (70-75 F). As the spot is not crowded people are friendly and always willing to help and give advice.
There is also a couple of schools at this spot. Given the space you have at this beach, the consistant winds and no crowds makes it a perfect place to learn.
