The spot is on Praia de Garcas next to Praia de Perobas, between Rio De Fogo and Tourous, To Access the beach you have to drive down to the beach from the main road by Perobas city limit on the north side of town. Or it is possible to access the beach by driving ont he beach from Rio de Fogo, Perobas and Touros.
The famous trade wind that comes in every day, It is at its stongest from August to November, but it is windy all year around, except when it is raining. The rainy season starts around april and ends in july, and at its most rainy in june.
It is a popular spot when the wind is coming from the south and other spots in the area has offshore winds. There is a few pousadas where it is possible to stay overnight and also some houses close that are for rent.
