A beautiful sandy beach, more like a lagoon than an open beach as it is very sheltered and hence ideal for learning.
The small lagoon leeward in the bay of St. George (about 900 m from Flisvos Sportclub and Hotel) is the best place to learn kite surfing. It has constant wind and shallow water.
The small lagoon is about 200 x 200 m wide, it is only allowed to kite surf for private people out of the teaching times. In the rest of the bay of St. George it is forbidden to kitesurf because of Naxos Airport.
