| | Flat water in the lagoon behind the island is not easilly accessible - needs a boat trip. Hotels in the main town, very relaxed place, mostly undiscovered by tourists - and very different from the Cancun hell-hole. When the wind drops, be prepared for mosquitos and sand fleas.
Lots of other great activities: Fishing, Dolphin search, Different tours around the island, Kayaking, Whaleshark tour (from mid-May until mid-September), Turtle watching (from mid-April until the end of June), Visiting Maya Temples (on the mainland.
