Pull in to town, take a right (go in front of the salt flats), park in the public beach parking spot - walk out to point, and launch!
Beginners can do a downwinder from above the hotel but beware of the shadows close to shore.

Fisherman are helpful in "worst case" scenarios. Stay out of the swimmers way. This video is old now (when my friend and i were learning) but you can see its a sweety when she's workin.
