If you are coming from Cabarete take a right at the Coconut palms hotel. Look for the sign on the mainroad. Enter there and keep going until you see the sign of the apartments of HookedCabarete. You take a right and already can see the beach from there. Simply follow the road.
You can launch your kite on the small beach near the restaurant or walk left to the point. Encuentro is not a spot for beginners. Go to kitebeach instead. Encuentro is only a few minutes from Cabarete and kitebeach.
If you are staying in cabarete take a motoconcho, the white busses or a taxi. If you are staying on Encuentro walk.

This is probably the best true kitesurfing you will find in the Dominican Republic. It is the most popular surf break as well, but fortunatly when the wind is on, no one surfs.
Makes for a great downwinder from Cabarete, or Kitebeach.
