A lagoon and the open ocean are a one-minute ride apart. if you are sick of buttery flat water, just ride out the channel and you have got about 20km of wide sandy beaches. The lagoon doesnt work at low tide. There are several islands to explore, some of them providing excellent kiting spots. Bagasbas is also a surfing Spot, the waves are good in Summer, from April to October. During this time there are about 6 weeks of southwest monsoon when sideoffshore wind and excellent waves come together, this wind is called Habagat and is unfortunately not very reliable.
