If you can't get away to Ponta do Ouro or Inhambane, you can allways take your gear to the waterfront
If the wind is south, be carefull to go upwind if you plan to go to the island in front (Jofina). It's a good 20 min ride, but there is a mud bank full of broken sea shells on the way back if you go downwind.
